Length of No driving if a seizure happens.

Image
EMT to patient: "You just had a seizure". Patient: "Great, how long is my driver's license suspended for?" Depending on what state this patient is in, it will either be no set time to 18 months of no driving. For this mapping project, the data came from the  Epilepsy Group  as my source for how long each state requires no driving as well as whether are doctors required to report a seizure. Here is what was found.  Photos  This first image is the legend.  In the first map, we see how long each state requires a seizure-free period before one can apply for a driver's license.   The second map shows reporting requirements for seizures. (Green for doctors do NOT have to report to DMV, Blue for yes doctors DO have to report to DMV) This chart shows the number of states with each requirement time frame Conclusion Hopefully, this data will help you to decide where to or not move if you have epilepsy or have seizures in general.  KML to add to Google...
